A New Year's Prayer
Dear Lord, please give me...
A few friends who understand me,
and yet remain my friends
A work to do which has real value,
without which the world would feel the poorer.
A mind unafraid to travel,
even though the trail be not blazed.
An understanding heart...
A sense of humour.
Time for quiet, silent meditation.
A feeling of the presence of God
And the patience to wait for the coming of these things,
with the wisdom to know them when they come.

ReplyDeletealso, in your case, i suppose the request to God should have been framed as - "please continue to bless me with..." - isn't it?
lastly, why do girls have to ask for so many things all at once? what if God has a rule that says ok you get the first/last thing that you asked... ? simple case of demand/supply after all, ain't it?
Well, in your case it would have to be the same I'm sure :)
ReplyDeleteGirls ask for many things at one time?! Cmon, that's common to both genders at this time of year! And I can't think of a single guy who always only asked for one thing at a time. And no dirty connotations intended.
